Meet Our Team
“Home” is Wisconsin, where I was born and raised. Yes, I’m a “Cheesehead” and a “Badger” and yes, I will always support our Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
However, I must admit that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are definitely growing on me!
My husband and I moved to the Tampa area several years ago and we love it! No threat of snow here!
In 1986, I accepted a “summer job,” training to be a Dental Assistant. To my surprise and almost immediately, I fell in love with everything dental and I knew even then that this would be my career path.
Thirty five years later, that “summer job” has given me numerous opportunities to learn many more aspects of the dental field, from working the front desk, to “mastering” insurance benefits, and in more recent years, office management.
I believe that the reason why I love what I do so much is not only because of the passion I have for this field, but because of the patients. I truly love engaging with them, getting to know them, and assisting them in any way I can.
Originally from Ohio, Joey, along with her parents and siblings, moved to Sarasota in 1984. There she completed her middle and high school years and went to college originally on a music scholarship in pursuit of a degree in elementary music education.
Towards the end of her first year in college, the music specialty programs became a little more scarce, and that’s when Joey found interest in and now passion for dentistry.
She has been in the dental industry since the mid-1990’s, with a significant amount of experience on the surgical side. Having been in the dental field now for 25+ years, she is able to combine her years of knowledge and experience to effectively treat her patients–plus she still occasionally sings along the way!
Joey has two sons, Cole (17) and Austin (14), of whom she is very proud; Her favorite thing in life is being a mom.
Joey is blessed to have her family not too far from the Tampa area. She values her family and close friends and cherishes her loved ones.
Her love for dentistry and her patients, and her desire to educate them and thoroughly care for them really sets her apart from most.
Joey and her family reside in the Carrollwood area where they live on a large lake. She enjoys feeding her wildlife, fishing, and watching the beautiful sunsets.
