Invisalign sounds like the perfect orthodontic treatment. It is invisible and comfortable, there are no diet restrictions, and the treatment time is quick! Undoubtedly a treatment with so many benefits must come with a hefty price tag, right? Not so quick! There are several factors that will ultimately decide how much you will be out of pocket. Drs. Angela Rasmussen and Amanda del Cueto would love to discuss this with you when you visit Gentle Dentistry in Tampa, Florida. Until you can make that appointment, here are some elements that could factor into the cost of Invisalign:
Invisalign is incredibly versatile in that it can be used to treat a broad spectrum of teeth misalignment issues. This is partly because, when you visit your dentist for a follow-up, your aligners can be supplemented with attachments that can help with more severe or complex teeth movement. Because more acute conditions will take more work, time, and supplies, it will cost more than somebody who requires only a minor shift in alignment.
Before choosing the Invisalign treatment, you should check to see if your dental insurance provider will cover part of the cost. Some dental offices will do this check for you – for free! If your insurance covers any of the costs, the treatment will obviously cost you less. It is also worth checking with your dentist to see if they offer any form of payment plan allowing you to break up the payment over time.
In most cases, Invisalign will deliver the exact results you were promised. However, there are some cases where your progress may not proceed as initially thought. This will require adjustments to the treatment plan, and you may need new aligners to fine-tune your smile. Depending on your Invisalign treatment plan, this could end up costing you more.
