Why Dentures?
Dentures are a versatile treatment that can target several different issues. Loose or missing teeth accompanied by recurrent toothaches, chronically swollen gums, and difficulty chewing can all be signs that dentures may be a good solution for you.
What Types Of Dentures Are Available?
At Gentle Dentistry, we offer a few different types of dentures that suit various needs and budgets.
- Traditional complete dentures are a full set of removable artificial teeth created based on an impression of the mouth without teeth. They are worn using dental adhesive to replace an entire arch on the top and/or bottom.
- Removable partial dentures are devices that replace a few teeth and attach to the remaining teeth with metal clasps.
- Overdentures are implant-supported dentures. This means they are secured into place by clicking onto dental implants. Dental implants are biocompatible metal rods surgically inserted into the jawbone. These rods fuse with the jawbone to become replacement tooth roots. While the dentures are still removable for easy cleaning, their attachment to the dental implants offers a more secure fit than dentures that require adhesive.
- Implant bridges are fixed dentures that attach to dental implants. Since they are not removable, they are the most stable, natural-looking, and natural-feeling denture option.

She completed a General Practice Residency and was Chief Resident at University Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She received her Fellowship at the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Rasmussen is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, AGD, Academy of Osseointegration, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, and Hillsborough County Dental Association. She is dedicated to continuous education and has received many industry honors.
