Is Age A Factor For Dental Implants?
What do you say to patients who think they are too old for dental implants?
I tell my patients that they can be dental implant candidates at any age. Age is not a deterrent for dental implants. If you can undergo a basic, routine dental procedure, then you are a candidate for dental implants. They are the best tooth replacement option for patients who suffer from one or more missing teeth, so dental implants are a wonderful way to restore your smile and regain your confidence, regardless of your age. I’ve had patients in my office who have had implants placed in their 80s, and I have patients with implants who are well into their 90s, and their quality of life is excellent thanks to their implants.
